Child Care Center

The Center cares for newborn to preschool age children, giving priority placement to student parents.  Child Care staff works with student parents on many levels to help them stay in school and gain valuable parenting skills to give their children the best start in life.  Currently the Center holds an Iowa Quality Rating System of a level 5.

AHFCCC follows the Ottumwa School District schedule and is closed on all Holiday/Breaks when school is not in session, in addition to the summer months and school cancellations/early dismissals.

AHFA Child Care Center Rates:

Infants (newborn to 2 years):

• $18.50 per half day (up to five hours)
• $33.00 per full day

Preschoolers (2 to 5 years):

• $18.50 per half day (up to five hours)
• $31.00 per full day

Important Information regarding the AHFA Child Care Center:

• Daycare fees are due on  Friday of each week.
• After 9 hours of care a $3 charge is added to the bill.
• AHFCCC will charge $1.00 per minute after 4:30 PM.

AHFCCC also accepts payments from families approved by the DHS Child Care Assistance program.
