    Child Care Center

American Home Finding Child Care Center (AHFCCC) is a licensed child care center located at First Lutheran Church.

The Center cares for newborn to preschool age children, giving priority placement to student parents.  Child Care staff works with student parents on many levels to help them stay in school and gain valuable parenting skills to give their children the best start in life.  Currently the Center holds an IQ4K Level 4.

AHFCCC follows the Ottumwa School District schedule and is closed on all Holiday/Breaks when school is not in session, in addition to the summer months and school cancellations/early dismissals.

    AHFA Child Care Center Rates:

In order to reserve your child’s place in the program, a set weekly rate per child will apply, regardless of full time or part time status:

    Infants (newborn to 2 years):

    • $200.00 weekly

    Preschoolers (2 to 5 years):

    • $170.00 weekly

This weekly fee will occur whether your child is in attendance or not, this guarantees your child has a spot at the center. You will not be charged for the days the center is closed.

Important Information regarding the AHFA Child Care Center:

    • Daycare fees are due on Friday of each week.
    • Payments can be made online via the Brightwheel app or check. Cash will not be accepted.
    • Four consecutive weeks of unpaid fees may result in suspension of child care until full payment is received.
    • AHFCCC will charge $1.00 per minute after 4:30 PM.
    • Repeat occurrences of late pick-ups could result in an increased fee or discontinued services.

If you are interested in reserving a spot for your child, there are two options:

    1. AHFA can put you on the waiting list but cannot guarantee when the spot will be available.
    2. OR you can pay $200 a month until your child is enrolled and guarantee your child has a spot when needed.

August is a pro-rated month due to the center only being open 2 weeks.

AHFCCC also accepts payments from families approved by the DHS Child Care Assistance program.
